LRT Extension

Today we heard a great news from Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad. The Kelana Jaya and Ampang LRT lines will be extended. More new trains will be added. The project will likely kick off next year and will be ready by 2012. The extensions will serve areas like Bukit OUG, Bukit Jalil, Puchong, Subang Jaya, USJ and Putra Heights. For more information, read here and here.

Make your way to the Ministry of Transport, DBKL, MBPJ, MPSJ and MBSA to scrutinize the new routes and make yourself heard. Do contribute for the betterment of our public transportation system. The information is also available on Department of Railways website.

I hope this project will eliminate flaws that we are having in the current lines. Lessons should be learnt right. I also hope more will use the service once its ready. It should save money, time and also reduce pollution.

Eagerly awaiting for its completion...

For us, the USJ-ians the news has been up since 3 years ago. Finally it has been officially announced and I believe the project will relieve the traffic congestions that currently occur all around subang! EXPEDITE.. Please~

saya slalu naik komuter bila nak ke kl sebab masalah parking kereta kat KL.tapi yang malasnya majority pengguna public transport is warga asing.rasa macam kerajaan berbelanja besar utk kemudahan warga asing pun ada jugak.tambang warganegara dan bukan warganegara perlu di bezakan.terlalu bnyk warga asing di malaysia iaitu hampir 2 juta dan saya pasti mereka bukan pembayar cukai.kenapa perlu mereka menikmati kemudahan yg sama dgn rakyat malaysia dari segi pengangkutan awam

yup moi.. due time for USJ-ian. dah siap kang jgn tak pakai plak ek.. hehe

xplorer - i think susah la nak bezakan tambang warga asing and tempatan. takkan time beli tiket nak kene tunjuk IC kot. hehe.. but I do think in terms of medical facilites, diorang kene do something. somehow, warga asing plak yang lebih2 dapatkan treatment from government hospital. yang bayar pakai tax money gak. arituh dalam paper ada highlight pasal mende nih. rasa nye last year they spent about RM12 million for foreigners seeking treatment at government hospitals.
